Organic Farming and Sourcing

To ensure a high quality oil, Orga Earth engineered three organic sourcing of prickly pears to fulfil all the quality specifications and our certifications for the making of a luxury and rare essential oil.  These Agro ecological modes of integration are based on equity, participation and social justice, which creates opportunities and self sufficiency for the rural communities.

Our philosophy is to utilize only locally sourced commodities to feed the plants and to irrigate them.  All agronomic developments are done ‘’In House’’ from soil analysis to the production of organic compost made with local sources such as algae’s and guano.

Our Ecosystem combines 3 main pillars:

  1. A farm used as a research and training centre.
  2. A large number of contract farming under strict and sustainable agronomic practices with fair commitments from both parties.
  3. The outgrow collection of wild Prickly pear in remote villages by selected families, de-pulping facilities, separation of seeds on dedicated platforms managed by self-entrepreneurs and respecting the low-carbon agricultural practices.

Implementation of agricultural innovations in drylands are required and can only be achieved with the support of small farmers under a simple principle. “Seeing is Believing”
